The Diamond Bazaar Sanjay Leela Bhansali, a renowned filmmaker who is awarded for his cinematic vision, has at long last made his debut on the over-the-top (OTT) platform today, May 1, with his most recent masterwork, “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar,” which is available on Netflix.

 ‘1942: A Love Story‘ was the last time Bhansali collaborated with the legendary actress Manisha Koirala. It has been thirty years since their last collaboration.

‘Heeramandi’ explores unexplored areas, delves into raw human emotions, and explores themes of freedom, love, brothels, and jealousy with great detail. While it shares thematic connections with the iconic film from 1994, ‘Heeramandi’ addresses these subjects with a great deal of depth.

 “Heeramandi” provides viewers with a nuanced picture of the lead cast by drawing inspiration from cinematic masterpieces such as “Gangubai Kathiawadi,” “Mandi,” “Kalank,” and “Devdas.” Manisha Koirala, who plays Mallika Jaan;

Sonakshi Sinha, who plays Faradeen/Rehana; Richa Chadha, who plays Lajjo; Sanjeeda Shaikh, who plays Waheeda; Aditi Rao Hydari, who plays Bibbo, and Sharmin Segal Mehta, who plays Alamzeb, are among the renowned women who will be leading the cast in this production, which promises to be an entertaining performance.
